So this poor tiny little thing kinda stumbled in and fell on the floor. One of its legs is bent in a strange way. Anyone know what I can do?

Call the animal shelter or the Humane Society. They'll know.

They'll probably either tell you to set it (and how) or ask you to bring the bird in.

I think it's too far gone to resist much, it can barely flutter... makes me wonder if its got a broken wing too? Wings look fine to my untrained eyes though...

If it's still alive, call the local fish & wildlife dept and ask them if there's a wildlife rehab place nearby.

if it's young... it's SOL

if it's older... you can try bracing it

either case you can take it to an animal shelter

My biology teacher told us to let them die. It's natural selection and by helping this bird, we're not "helping" the species.

I know - look at the human race - we've ruined our gene pool.

If you handle the bird enough, it will trust you. My uncle once took care of an injured hawk back to health in upstate NY. No cage, just meat and a very thick rubber glove.

Unless of course you just don't let it reproduce, in which case it's a moot point.
