Got an email from Bioware...Are they hitting everyone? Is this to prove that the gaming industry doesn't care about our security?

We recently learned that hackers gained unauthorized access to the decade-old BioWare server system supporting the Neverwinter Nights forums.
 
I reset my password this morning,wonder how long it will last until the next hack.

According to the e-mail it was their 10-year old NWN forum server that got hacked. I don't think it's a case of Bioware not caring about security. I think it's a case of a small obsolete system that no one thought was vulnerable or even a target.
 
Yea the NWN Bioware forums were taken down last week after some sort of security breach. Far as I know it was isolated to that particular forum but what they gained access to from there you can't really say. Even if you did have an account there the worst that might happen is access to that particular password and your birth date. Though actually I care more about my NWN cd keys 😛

This is what was hacked, but it also was linked to our general EA schtuff as well.

yeah, but this is like what, the 6th game dev/publisher to be hacked recently?
