The bio-remote feature is nice too, and you can get the bio-remote 2 app for phones also. Pretty cool if you ever use it for a htpc setup.

Anyone know if this thing will support Ivy Bridge? I know they're socket compatible, but I haven't heard anything about Z68 support.

Good question, only time will tell. Biostar will support a board as long as the chips are still compatible for it usually. http://www.rhcf.com/ Polygon is pretty heavy into the Biostar brand and contributes a wealth of information... I do believe a Biostar rep lurks his forum (Techiman I think his name is) as well.

I also used that same app on my older Biostar TF8200 A2+ and it works like a charm.

Thanks for the tip! Hopefully either this is a non issue for non-Intel boards or someone will be resourceful enough to get past this barrier:

Very interesting. Biostar actually just started putting UEFI bios on their recent boards. Any older boards needed a bios update in order to take advantage of the UEFI. Hopefully this was the reason why they waited so long to upgrade to this interface, so it would be compatible with Ivy Bridge, again, time will tell :hmm:

EDIT: After reading more of the article I see that you have to send in the board for a reflash. The TZ68a and I think most other biostar boards have removable Bios chips which means that the manufacturer could just send a chip out with the updated uefi installed.

Yes, I just saw this feature of my board. It's a high quality budget board with rather nice features; I'm impressed.

Built my mom's system with the biostar a880g+ I believe. Had no issues unlocking the 4th core and system has been rock solid, but then again nothing has been overclocked.

Crazy what you guys are doing with the i5. I can't wait to upgrade :D
