It may happen once in a week or it can happen over and over on any given day. I will be using the computer and BAM, it locks up or the game I am playing freezes. I have to turn off the computer and let it sit for a while or I can unplug from one Sata port and plug into another and it works like a champ for a long time until it starts again. Any ideas? It has done this with multiple hard drives as well, not just one.

Thanks in advance.

God damn! One of my boards keeps losing the LAN controller. Haven't noticed any problems with the drives though.
Try disabling powering off the hard drives in power management under windows.
Also PSU can be causing he problem or maybe even loose molex or sata power connector. Try changing sata cables if possible...

I have switched cables. My power supply tested good. :(

Itmight not be neceserilly your drive. It also sounds like a bad VGA driver or even bad RAM. Try reinstalling your VGA driver, and also run some memtest. See how it goes.
