i seem to be having a problem. Im using OCZ2P8002GK Memory and a e6300 at 400fsb. Im having nothing but problems on the board going to 450 fsb. i can log into windows but when i run orthos the first 2-3 secs it fails. But forsome reason clockgen is able to get it to 450mhz and its running orthos for about 4 hours and 45min already. CPUZ shows that its at 450mhz but does clockgen really oc the system thru windows? Whats going on? anyone else have the same problem?

At 400 Mhz, you're trying to use the 1066 Mhz memory strap. That's why it's failing. If you're only wanting ~400 Mhz FSB, then you need to set your FSB to 401 Mhz in the BIOS. You'll then be using the 1333 Mhz memory strap, which is much easier on the RAM, as crazy as that sounds.

edit: Yes, ClockGen really overclocks through Windows. It's been around for at least 5 or 6 years now, and that's what it was designed to do.

Put your PCI-E speed at 110mhz and see if it helps. It's apparantly helped some people.
