BIOSTAR TA760G M2+ problem

I has (had) BIOSTAR TA760G M2+ with RAID-1 array using an older BIOS version. I updated to the latest BIOS - A76GM707.BST (7/7/10) and my RAID-1 array would not boot and did not detect my hard drives as a valid boot device, no matter the configuration. I had a backup of my data (thank goodness), so I tried to start over by clearing the CMOS, setting the appropriate BIOS options, create a new RAID-1 array, so on and so forth. But this new BIOS version appears to be seriously broken. When I set the SATA controller mode to RAID, I cannot get the RAID option ROM to appear. It won't even show the prompt for the RAID option ROM and halts with 'insert system disk or press something else to reboot'. When I roll-back the BIOS version to A76GM902.BST (the previous version), the RAID option ROM prompt appears like normal when the SATA controller is configured for RAID in BIOS.

I sent a support request to BIOSTAR yesterday but haven't heard back. Wondering if anyone else has encountered this or has this board running the latest BIOS with RAID?

At least I received a reply from BIOSTAR:

Thank you for providing feedback. Please use non-beta BIOS if the beta BIOS is having problems. We will work on a BIOS fix and post it on the Biostar website.

I don't know if that means "we have reproduced the problem and have escalated to our BIOS group" or "this is a canned reply that we give to everyone, whether or not we intend to even look into your problem".

What the hell? That says that they have no idea what are you talking about so they transferred the problem to the BIOS department. But the second one makes me think they wouldn't bother with you problem.
Are you sure it wasn't a beta BIOS?
