I just put a fresh install of windows 2000 on a computer and everything was fine. Then I went to boot it up to load some drivers and something went wrong. The system rebooted on its own and then kept trying to start back up but would always reboot at the windows 2000 loading screen. It finally gave me a blue screen saying that the BIOS in the system was not fully ACPI compliant. The mainboard is a Biostar M7VKQ and the documentation on it says that it supports ACPI so I am confused. I have had this computer running fine before this so I don't know whats wrong with it now. The only strange thing so far was when I installed windows back on the machine it was having problems because of the memory cache so I went and disabled everything in bios that said anything about cache (about 4 things). Once windows install I reenabled these options. The only thing I can think to do is reinstall windows and hope it fixs it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
