Someone recently gave me a Biostar IDEQ 220T (SFF) but it has a bad motherboard. I have looked online for more motherboards (intel 478, amd A/754/939) but I don't know which ones will work. they all look like the won't fit.

What I am looking for is something really cheap. I would like to get cpu, mobo, ram for <$200. Just looking around a little this seems like it wouldn't be too hard, but again I don't know much about SFF.

Are there different types of mobo's for these? You can see on some pictures here in the rear it only supports 1x agp and 1x pci... most of what I have found online is 1x agp and 2-3 pci's, which won't work. Right? (Example)

The uses for this would be FS/media center perhaps.. or just something to play around with.

Any suggestions on how to get this up and running would be great!

Check the Biostar website ( www.biostar.com.tw ? ) but it looks like it uses a custom motherboard smaller than mATX, like most other cube PCs.

If there is a Fry's near you, you can get one of their $199 PC deals.

Otherwise you might get some Outpost.com motherboard + CPU deal and add a cheap case and RAM.

thanks! it did look a bit mis-shaped to fit in the case.

is the $199 a whole computer? or just the parts i would need to get this one working. seems a shame to waist the case just because the motherboard went bad. i'll keep my eyes open though. i'm going to check with the prev owner if it is still under warranty too.
