Alright.. my grandma has this board, and she just upgraded her CPU to a 2000+. This VIA KM400 Chipset is basically the KT400 with integrated video if i'm not mistaken. Here's the prob.. the CPU is only running at 1.2 GHz, because the FSB is only set to 100 MHz. In the bios, there's an option under adv chipset options to set the DRAM frequency, but no option for FSB speed or FSB/DRAM ratios. However, in teh main menu there is an option just before all of the save/load defaults/etc options, which is voltage and CPU frequency. Under this menu is 1 option, CPU Clock. Now I figured, "oh, here's where i change the FSB", well... It only goes up to 132, not even 133, and this board supposedly supports up to 166 right? Well, If i set this CPU clock to anything over 110, the machine will not even POST. At 110 the POST shows the CPU speed as a 2000+, but right after the CPU speed is displayed and RAM is counted it locks up or gets major video distortion then locks up. There is nothing in the manual or BIOS Docs that actually explain this CPU clock setting.. its obvious not a 1:1 increment:1 MHz setting or else setting it to 110 would not show the CPU speed as a 2000+ I've flashed the BIOS to the newest version and that doesn't help anything.

Anyone know anything I can try to get this CPU working correctly at its stock speed? Thanks...

hey there, i've messed with the nforce2 biostar and had the same problem. there is a jumper on the board for fsb settings, it's not in the bios. look harder on the board, you'll find it. :)
