every review I have read seems to say it is great, I have the m7vit currently and it is stable as all hell. I liked it so much that I ordered the M7vip, cause I read that it overclocks really well, and I have had the M7VIT up to 208fsb before my pc2100ddr gave up and rebooted the machine, the price was right, so what the heck, I am sure it will be a learning experience. My exp. with the M7VIT was only strange because it booted up without having to do any bios settings, fsb was preset by jumper , and it detected all my drives, I have never had a board that didn't make me do some uphill learning, til now.

Hmmm, the review I read liked the board, but didn't seem unduly impressed with its overclocking ability. They pushed their XP1600+ up to about 155 FSB x 10.5 stable (the CPU had previously done 180 FSB on a KT400-based Asus A7V8X board).

Buttons, why are you going from a KT400 M7VIT board to a KT333 M7VIP? I guess the M7VIP is about $9 cheaper. I considering these two boards and they seem to have about the same feature set except for the chipset.

I have built several computers around this motherboard. The board is stable, however; I have found one flaw: There is a problem with the onboard audio. This problem occurs on every computer I have built with this motherboard (about 10). I have flashed to the most recent bios and that does not solve the problem.

The problem:

When playing a music CD or a DVD movie, the sound skips badly every couple of minutes. In the DVD movies, this causes the movie to pause and jerk momentarily. Very annoying. I reported this problem to Biostar and they e-mailed me back saying they cannot reproduce it. BULLSH*T! It happens on every computer I've built with this motherboard.

Others that have used this mobo, please run a music CD or DVD through it and tell me if you get the same thing...
