I have a PC I built with a GF7050V-M7 SE Ver. 6.x motherboard. Hard drive is a Seagate 1 gig SATA using SATA 4. Also have two other 250 gig IDE drives both cable select. Also have DVD burner which is SATA on SATA 1.
At times when I power on it just hangs in post. I then go into bios and see the boot sequence has changed to the two IDE drives then the SATA 4 HD. I change it back to the SATA HD on SATA 4 and it boots fine again.
I read somewhere that the motherboard may auto sense boot order and I'm thinking that is changing boot sequence.
