I have some basic crucial 4GB ram, not worried about OC'ing that too much as I know I have a 10.5X multi on this processor. I'm probably looking to get the chip to 3.4-3.6ghz without much effort IF POSSIBLE.

I know I have a cheap motherboard, but is this even remotely possible? I haven't been able to find much about this board or anything, but I know my processor should be able to handle it.

Can this board / chipset do it, any experience or knowledge of this chipset would be appreciated.

You already have it, or want to get it? If you've already got it, then try it and tell us! If you haven't gotten it yet, consider the Gigabyte G31 chipset board, or even the Asus G31 chipset board. Those are available for around $50-60 shipped and should be able to get your CPU into the 3GHz range. Whether or not you can hit as high as 3.6GHz will depend on your chip, how much voltage you set, how good cooling you have and a bit of luck.

I have that mobo and I am able to o/c an e8400 to 3.6g with stock HSF at stock Vcore with 4GB RAM. Probably will get an HDT-1283 to achieve 4G.

oc itself is pretty easy, just raise the FSB and Vcore, that's it!

I know how to overclock, just curious on the mobo I have as I know it's a cheaper board.

Yes, i do have the combo listed. I think I'd want to go more than just 3ghz considering stock the processor runs at 2.8.

I'm hoping for 3.4-3.6 so when I run Crysis or similiar at 1680X1050 I won't be CPU limited.

I see no reason you can't achieve 3.6g when bump Vcore a little bit with a good HSF.
