Hi,
I just built a new box with a Biostar M7VKG board (Athlon XP, etc.) The BIOS is AwardBIOS, latest version as far as I can tell. When I start up (no OS installed), I get the Biostar splash screen, with several options. One is to press DEL for the BIOS setup. When I do that, I get a black screen with a flashing cursor, and no response to the keyboard or anything else. I tried many things: reset the CMOS; checked the floppy cable (it was reversed, now it's OK); tried the other options on the splash screen (they work, no problems are reported, CPU temperatture is OK). I even managed to boot up from a Linux CD, though not from a Win98 CD or from any floppy I could find.
Does any of that sound familiar?
Should I return the board?
Thanks all,
Y.
