Will the BIOSTAR TForce 965PT LGA 775 work with any kind of DDR2 RAM ?

Please help me pick a RAM. I am considering this OCZ S.O.E DDR2-667 PC2-5400 currently.

I ideally don't want to mess around in the BIOS to get RAM working properly.

Does getting a DDR2-800 improve performance in a noticeable way? I am not an overclocker but need this mobo for my recently ordered 8800 GTS 640MB.
