Subject says it all.

I have 4x4GB (2 sets of matched pairs - all 4 sticks aren't the same - both sets however are Kingston).

When I put 2x4GB in, get 8GB at POST. Doesn't matter which pair, both sets will post 8GB. Also, doesn't matter which set of slots I put them in to, get 8GB.

Put in the 3rd stick, and I get 10GB. Put in the 4th stick, get 12GB recognized on POST.

Have raised voltage up to 1.7V, still the same.

Any suggestions or something I'm missing?
 
Wow, sounds like only six RAS lines or something, instead of 8. Does the manual say anything about single- versus double-sided DIMMs?
