Biostar- 939/AGP8x solution

Biostar says they have come out with a 939 solution that will accommodate many AGP video cards, and support PCIe x16 too. Haven?t seen any reviews on it yet, but it?s worth knowing about.

If the AGP is on the PCI (not PCIe) bus than this board is a non-starter.

I saw a review in one of the British Mags. Basically the AGP runs only at 4x with selected card. In addition, PCI-e isn't running at top speed either. It's really a hack solutions. It's not recommended unless you really need the upgrade path and don't care about the performance hit.

check out this board that will allow you to upgrade from a 754 to a 939 using an adapter that goes into a secondary AGP slot.
