not quite confirmed, and kind of sketchy at best, but puts more light on the topic and an official answer may be forced out of Irrational/2k soon.
It'd be cool to see, but I have no use for it: already got BioShock on PC. 🙂

probably not going to happen, with semi-official word (from an official forum mod) stating:

There will be no PS3 version of BioShock.

Ken Levine has mentioned DLC is coming for the 360 version (New Plasmids?). One would think that if a PS3 version actually does come out that it might have this additional content included or also available for download.

Of course, the PC edition may still have the most "obtainable" future DLC and mods considering how the userbase is probably still angry at how 2K games botched the PC release.

Really obnoxious SecuROM issues, Field-of-View problems... here's a link to the Wikipedia section on technical issues.

Other than the facts, there were multiple incidents right after the issues cropped up where 2K Games publishing reps responded rather rudely to complaints. BioShock's lead developer, Ken Levine of 2K Boston/2K Austrailia (formerly named Irrational Games), was publicly outspoken against some of his own publisher's handling of the situation, particularly the copy protection.

I believe most everything was worked out, but a lot of the copy protection trouble was ironic considering the game's heavy objectivist theme. This was one of my favorite PR responses: "So why should your brother play for free?"
