Most of you people can't see the forest for the trees. Both of these games aren't suited for the hopped up, consumer devouring dopes that play games. Especially shooters, I mean look at this comment...

it was just too much of the same core game as Bioshock.

Thats the nature of sequel man. Do you just not get it? Bioshock 2 was continuance of the original Bioshock. Is this serious criticism?

Regardless new Bioshock coming, one in the sky! Something new, something fresh, something to consume!

Back to the question though I thought both were great games. First one dragged a bit and I welcomed the end. Sequel has vast improvements in gameplay that for me added replay value. Environment of Rapture was something unto itself. Then there is the storyline. I mean what game even comes close in trying to tell such tragic and depraved story? Just Cause 2? BioShock deserves credit for trying at the very least.
