bios upgrades

First build...ever.
ds3 with e6600
corsair 2G 6400c4
zalman 9500
7900gs

up and runngin without a htch. at least that I can tell anyway.

bios is F4
If I want to flash bios, does the F7 update include the F5,6 updates or do I have to do each one?

Just use the latest version: either F7 or F8-beta. Flashing of the bios never requires flashing any intermediate versions.
The F8 "final version" may be released within a few days. So, maybe wait until that version is out.
Note: before flashing, set any overclocked bios settings back to normal/default settings. Reboot, then do the bios flash.

IMO, don't use any beta bios's. "BETA" means "still in testing, not officially approved."

My DS3 came with F4 as well; flashed to F7 and am running perfectly.

If i were you, I would flash to F7 (many, many issues were fixed from F4 to F7) and WAIT to see what results others are having with the F8 bios first.

F7 is proven to be bug-free (for all intents and purposes), but most of all, STABLE.

Flash to F7 (make sure to select "load optimized settings" in the bios afterwards, THEN tweak it after a reboot) and be happy.

Excellent advice! :thumbsup:

Always do BIOS upgrades and O/S installs on default settings.

I wouldn't be too worried to try the F8i BIOS that Gary Key posted in one of these threads.
