I have a MSI K7T Pro motherboard that I purchased used. When I installed it, I upgraded to the latest BIOS. My question is, are BIOS upgrades cumulative? By installing the latest upgrade, do I have the benefits of all the other upgrades before this one? The reason I am asking is that I am having a problem installing Win2000 and WinXp on my system, but I can install WINME.

BIOS updates for all manufacturers are cumulative...or at least they should be from the larger makers.

Going to the latest one will include all of the updates in the interim versions.

The only reason why you would want to go to intermediate steps is due to some BIOSes requiring certain settings to be enabled/disabled before going to the latest version.

You'll definitely hear about it if it was the case.

what problem you have to be more specific? probably it's not bios related.
