I'm updating the BIOS on my Dell laptop... dumb question...

My computer says it has BIOS version A07, the most current update on Dell says "Update BIOS A08 to A09" ...do I need to update to A08 before I update to A09? They do not list an A07 to A08 update, but I'll contact them if I need to.

Nah, you can jump to the latest, but do you need to? I tend to stay away from BIOS updates, unless they fix a problem I'm having, or add a feature I want.
 
I've done a ton of dell bios updates and usually just go with the latest available and have never had any issues. I guess if you're not having any problems you don't need to but I like to update the bios when I happen to be reformatting.
