Bios update

I want to do a bios update. Can this be done with a CD, or must it be done with a 3.5 diskette?

PS... was that 'Yes, you can only boot from a diskette' or 'Yes, you can boot from a CD'?

yes you can do it with a cd, with the asus board you can flash from windows though

I wasn't able to find a tutorial explaining this. I found: update procedure. Is there a tutorial that I'm just unable to find?

most asus boards have the ability to flash the bios without needing either a cd or floppy.

I've been unable to find any literature to support that statement. According to ASUS's website, I have to do this with a floppy disk.
It might be because I have Vista 64 that I cannot run the windows utility. As far as I can tell, they don't have one for my board.

Expand your horizons. I did it almost 2 years ago with a P4PE board.

It refers to the floppy drive based updates, but I hope the links allow you to create the bootable cd.
