Bios update to an old mobo

Hi ! I have a biostar 945gc micro 775 ver 6.1 and i want to update bios, beacuse i got a "fsb wall"(i guess it's named so ) at 233 Mhz while i'm trying to overclock the cpu. The problem is that idk how to update the bios since the mobo support only flash by floppy 🙂)). Any ideas ?? BTW the cpu is an e2140, and if there is a way to pass over that fsb i would be happy without a bios update, but im almost sure i cant pass over
 
Set your System Memory Frequency to 533 or 400. It will lower your memory mult and allow you to go a bit higher. Lower the frequency the less stress it puts on your memory.
 
I already did it, i tried a lot of things, that's why i finnaly decided to do a bios update. At 233 fsb pc can't boot even i put voltage on +0.2 and pci to 110. Anyway, forget that, i just broke that "low-designed " cooler (lga 775 ) .I guess i will never take it off without breaking it. It just suck. ALSO i wont take a new cooler, a new one is more expansive that the cpu. If u know a method to "repair " it ( if i can say so, i dont mean repair PROPERLY, just make it run even with 2 push-pins broken).

Its highly unlikely a BIOS update will remove the 'wall' (or hole as I usually refer to them). These are more a hardware limitation. To see if that is the case, as Schmide recommended, lower your memory divider and also lower the multiplier on your CPU. Jump to something like 240Mhz and see if it will boot. If not, your motherboard/chipset wont handle a higher FSB, if it does, you are at the limits of either your memory or CPU.
 
Yeah, ty for reply. I cant switch the memory multiplier and i also cant switch cpu multiplier, i didnt get those settings in my bios. Im almost sure the cpu can go further, there are a lot of people who get it at over 3 ghz, without any voltage modification, as they said. So i guess the mobo is too old, too old to handle an overclock.
 
Correct, while your CPU is likely capable of a very impressive overclock, your motherboard was simply not engineered to run at the needed settings.
 
If you have problems do this. If not leave it alone. You need a good rig to start you off and going. grab a i5 or i7 chip of yourself. Get a mobo that is compatible.. gl
