BIOS Update in Windows 2000

I am trying to update my BIOS for my MSI K7T Turbo Motherboard under windows 2000. The site says to make abootable floppy disk, and let it boot up and then run the bios program. I tried using format a:/s and it said it was unrecognizable, so I tried copying the BIOS files onto Windows ME Boot Disk and booting into DOS that way, but then it gives me an I/O Disk Error, how do I update? BTW I am trying to install the new overclockers BIOS so I cna lower my CPU Ratio t0 9x133.
