I am trying to update my BIOS for my MSI K7T Turbo Motherboard under windows 2000. The site says to make abootable floppy disk, and let it boot up and then run the bios program. I tried using format a:/s and it said it was unrecognizable, so I tried copying the BIOS files onto Windows ME Boot Disk and booting into DOS that way, but then it gives me an I/O Disk Error, how do I update?

I belive if you make a regular windows me boot disk. Then delete the config.sys and autoexec.bat. Then put your bios file on the disk and the flash utility. It should work fine.

I had the same question a while ago, and someone here pointed me to this excellent site http://www.bootdisk.com/. There, among other images, is a boot disk image of a very stable version of drdos, for the sole purpose of BIOS flashing.

It has worked perfectly for me many times since. Invaluable!

HTH... Good luck!
