I'm about to do a BIOS Update on my Biostar TF 560 A2+ Motherboard.
http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=287#dl

I've never before done a BIOS Flash so am here to seek assistance with the Flash.

Biostar BIOS Update Instructions:
http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us/manual/bios_update.pdf

It says after doing the Flash, Reboot, then to press Delete to enter BIOS Setup. It then says:

"After entering the BIOS setup, please go to the Save & Exit, using the Restore
Defaults function to load Optimized Defaults, and select Save Changes and Reset to
restart the computer"

Question: Can I Load Optimized Defaults Before the Flash, then all I have to do is hit Save and Exit After the Flash ?, or do I have to select Load Optimized Defaults After the Flash then Save and Exit ?

Thanks

PS Btw I'm doing this Flash because I'm going to Install a Phenom I X4 9850 95W HD9850WCJ4BGH on the MB, atm I'm running an Athlon 5000+ BE X2.

It's a good idea to load optimized defaults both before and after the flash. Don't forget to re-set you RAM timings though after you do that, if they are non-standard.

Thanks for the 2 Replies. You 2 have pretty much answered exactly why and what I needed to know.

Thanks

FYI. I'll do the Flash and install the x4 tomorrow, then begin my search for either an HD 7790 or 7850 to complete my PC Upgrade.

Question: Is 2GB Memory on the Vid. Card needed to play Star Wars The Old Republic (Swtor) or can I get by with 1GB which is a lot cheaper$ ?

SWTOR is not very demanding. Depending on your resolution and desire to run highest AA settings you should be fine.
