I am trying to update my BIOS on my Dell computer. This would be an official Intel BIOS update and not a Dell BIOS update bcs there has not been one for about a year now. I have not tried an official Intel BIOS update. I went through the instructions that Intel provides for a flash BIOS and when I try to boot to the disk I get a disk error or it won't read from my disk at all. Does anyone know if Dell will not allow for a Intel BIOS update? I believe Dell's BIOS is Phoenix or something like that. I was wondering if this was a predatorial issue or something.

I am trying to update my BIOS as told in another post for a new video card I have put in. The video card is not working as great as I thought it would and usually quits. It may be a BIOS issue. The video card is GF2 GTS Pro 64mb DDR. It is agp 2x/4x. My motherboard is an older Intel board: SE440-BX2. It does have an agp 1.0 slot and is 2x. I have heard that most if not all GF cards utilize an agp 2.0 slot bcs of the high power draw. I was told this card I bought would work just fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You!
