Hello,
I'll be building a new system in a couple weeks, so I've been looking around for ways to get the best performance I can out of my future PC without damaging it (preferrably
). Anyway, just today I found a guide on tuning the BIOS for maximum performance. The only problem is that since I've never really messed around much with the BIOS before, I don't know if all the suggestions in this guide are actually good ideas (or maybe even bad ideas). So, if you've already looked through this guide, maybe you could give me a second opinion on the tuning suggestions offered in it? Or, you can read through it here: Tom's Hardware - BIOS Tuning, and tell me what you think. I just don't wan't to take the chance of messing something up without getting a second opinion first. Here are the main specs of my system:
Windows 98 SE
1.33 GHz Athlon
Epox 8K7A mobo
256MB DDR
Radeon 64MB VIVO SE
Any advice you have will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Endarkened
