but i am having some issues with my setup.
Hello, i just recently started messing around with my hardware. I had an older athlon in mh case, and gutted it out and installed this mobo and cpu. However, im getting these wierd happenings with my hardware. My hdd seems to move slower than i had it on my gigabyte ga7ix board, and performance isnt as good as i hoped. Ive been messign around with my bios, trying to see if i change something to make any performance difference. I thought changing from ata66 to ata100 (even though its not acutally sustained), agp 2x to 4x, and pc 100 to 133 might make me see big differences, but i havent seen too many noticble changes. Help please?
oh yea, a big issue im having is that my hdd (which didnt have this problem before i changed mobos) is that, say i do a file transfer from folder to folder, it goes for a few seconds, pauses for about half a second, and resumes. Its really annoying. Thanks
