PC: Win. XP-Home, SOYO Kt400 Ultra Black MB, Xp 2400+ (Thoroughbred B),, ATI 9500 Pro 128MB, X-Dreamer2 Case, Premeir Plus 350W PSU (AMD Approved), Plus other Hardware

How do I Setup BIOS (Delete at Startup), to get the Max Performance out of my ATI 9500 Pro 128MB. I don't want to OC the PC, I'll do that sometime down-the-road.

Questions: What Settings ???

1. AGP Performance: Normal or Fast ?
2. AGP Fast Write: Disabled or Enabled ?
3. Video RAM Cacheable: Disabled or Enabled ?
4. Video BIOS Shadow: Disabled or Enabled ?

AGP & P2P Bridge Control

1. AGP Aperture Size: I set that at 128M for a 128MB Video Card, Correct ?
2. AGP Driving Control: Auto or Manual ?
3. AGP Master 1 WS Write: Disabled or Enabled ?
4. AGP Master 1 WS Read: Disabled or Enabled ?
5. DBI Output for AGP Trans: Disabled or Enabled ?

Other Settings

1. Spread Spectrum: Disabled or Enabled ?
2. System BIOS Cacheable: Disabled or Enabled ?
3. HDD S.M.A.R.T: Disabled or Enabled ?
4. Virus Warning: Disabled or Enabled ?

Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

Are there Websites that have Info on BIOS Settings & why they use those Specific Settings ?

Thanks

Or just choose "optimized defaults" or "fastest defaults" from the main bios menu and you'll be set. Most of that stuff doesn't really matter anyway unless you'll be overclocking or have specific compatability problems.

Edit:
AGP Aperture Size should typically be 128mb for any video card playing modern games. But in my case (I have a gf 6800 with 128mb ram), I need to set it to 256mb or I'll get very slow performance in a very few memory intensive 3d games/applications. (these apps are obviously using more than 256mb total video memory).

This is the best bios guide out there. Text
Thank you. Exactly what i was looking for. I'll read through it later today, after my 'Fantasy Football Draft', which is today.

Thanks, I thought that because my Vid Card is a 128MB Model that I would then "Automatically" set it at 128M. Thats obviously not true. I'll have to read through that Link that mchammer provided to Learn more about Aperture Size.

Thanks for the Help
