BIOS settings to change after latest BIOS is installed?

1. What are the BIOS settings I would need to change if I built a new computer?

I know there's one that chooses between the onboard sound or if you have a sound card, but I'm sure there's plenty more.

I'm not talking about overclocking, I can read the A64 overclocking thread.

2. Are the memory timings and mhz in the BIOS? Or where do I change them?

Your answers are in the mobo manual. But if you want to understand each line of the BIOS and their options, then google for Bios Optimization. Understanding what each option in the bios does will make you a better computer hardware specialist not to mention troubleshooter.
