BIOS settings for XP 1600

I need help. I have an ECS K7S5A MB and an AMD XP1600 CPU. What I need to know is in the BIOS which is an AMI BIOS under CPU PnP Setup there are some settings for CPU Frequency and DRAM Frequency. Everything is set to 100MHz and I am wondering if this is correct. It does have PC-133 SDRAM in it. Any help would be appreciated.

If you run your fsb at 100 your processor will be running slower (1050 I think). You need to turn it to 133fsb and you can turn your memory up to the speed it is rated (133) at with no problems at all.

That did the trick. Now it knows it is an Athlon XP 1600. I wonder why when the built the system they didn't set it up correctly? Oh well it is fixed. Thanks Again!!!

Your welcome. This is a very common question, and for the life of me I have no idea why the bios can't read the chips id and set the fsb correctly, but it doesn't.
