I recently upgraded my CPU and Mobo to a Duron 700 and Asus A7V133. I have a Voodoo 5500 card and it locks up when trying to play Janes FA-18. This occurs when the game is switching from 2D to 3D mode. I remember when I first got the V5 last summer I had to change some settings in the BIOS in order for it to work properly. However I cannot remember everything I changed.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate them. I have the latest drivers for everything except the latest Asus BIOS. I cannot get it to download from the Asus site...

TIA, Frank

What's "Guardband Clipping"? I do not see that in my BIOS setup. Could it be under a different name? I tried all the settings per VoodooSource guide but it's still locking up.

I updated the BIOS to 1005 last night and it added a couple things to the BIOS but It did not help.

Thanks, Frank

clip guarding is in the 3dfx tools with some of the voodoo newer drivers.
try running the game in single chip mode
