BIOS setting for CPU

Hi, for the BIOS setting for the CPU, i dont get how to set it according to your CPU speed. I have the Athlon XP 2100+ but it shows as default as a 1.3 ghz. I remember seeing somewhere its suppose to be 1.7 so how do i change it? I dont get how that thing in bios works...

It sounds like you have the FSB set at 100MHZ, instead of 133MHZ...there should be a jumper on the mobo to allow you to change the FSB from 100MHZ to 133MHZ...check it out.....

if its not on the motherboard, look in the bios for a CPU frequency setting, and change that from 100 mhz to 133mhz

Check motherboard for jumper, then check the BIOS to see if it's set to 100 there.
