Is there a way to capture a screenshot of the BIOS? I'm going to flash my BIOS in the next few days and want to document all the current settings.

Seems like I've seen others post screenshots that weren't digital camera pics but I couldn't find by searching.

vPro in from another machine, and capture a screen shot from that monitor. That is about the only way I can think of

Some mainboards have the ability to dump screenshots to a USB flash drive (Asus P8Z68-V PRO, for example). This is currently an unusual feature rather than the norm.

I'd just whip out the ol' camera. Any other solution is going to be way more complicated.

thanks. Not home right now so I can't check my BIOS (mobo in sig) but I doubt mine is fancy enough to support such a feature. Was just wishful thinking I guess.

If the video card has S-video out, one could connect that to a TV tuner card (that also had an S-video input port) on a 2nd PC, and capture the bios screen on the 2nd PC.
But most people would just take a screen photo using a digital camera.

Edit: there are VGA & DVI signal video capture devices available as well, if you don't mind spending some money for it.

Or you could go the low tech route of just taking a pic with a camera or phone?

Sh!t if you think that is low tech wait till you hear what I have to say....

How about you jot down the important bits on a notepad with a pen? :)

Just knowing your components will lessen what you have to write. You certainly don't need to write every little setting!
