Bios Rom Checksum error

What does Bios Rom Checksum error mean? how can I fix it? I tried flash a with a new Bios but failed cause apparently the Bios is being 'protected' & I can't get into Cmos page to 'unprotect' it. Please help.

If you get this with a "system haulted" error, it could be your bios chip is hosed. If not, it could be your ram or another part of your motherboard. Try pulling ram one stick at a time, or move it around. Also, you could try resetting CMOS with the jumper, or pull the battery and put it back in.
