Hey guys,
When I boot up my computer it states this message:

bios rom checksum error
detecting floppy drive A media...
drive A error. system halt

And it doesn't go any farther than that, does anybody know why this is happening. I have looked around and I believe it has to do with the motherboard. Please help.

Do you have a floppy disc or CD in any drive?
If not.. were you doing a bios flash/update befor this happened? Has the system booted and worked befor this error or is this your first time turning it on?

No floppy discs in the cd or drive. I was not flashing before this. This system has worked before and this has never happened. After doing some troubleshooting (checking connections, putting in new ram) I put the power in and it did something I've never seen before. It would power on for a second, stop for 2 seconds, and then power up again for a second, this happened like five times even after pulling out the power after this started occuring. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

download a fresh copy of the BIOS and make a boot floppy and try to reflash it booting from the floppy.
