BIOS Revison

Is there a Windows program or a way to will tell me what my BIOS Revision is? I went into the BIOS but there was no version number. I know on my Dell its usually during startup process but on this computer, you see the information for a millisecond before it runs down to the Boot from CD commands...

Edit: Nevermind, it was printed on a sticker stuck to the motherboard...

"Nevermind, it was printed on a sticker stuck to the motherboard..."

Which would be correct assuming it's never been upgraded. Are you sure you didn't just get the actual mobo revision #?

I upgraded the BIOS successfully. The damn Vendor Logo kept popping up never allowing me to see. I learned during the BIOS upgrade it BIOS Guardian had something to do with it. I was upgraded from the sticker, which said ABA41 but it was really ABA42. The numbers really didn't matter, just the ABA since it could have been ABA or ABB.

Thanks though...

For future reference I've checked both Latitude laptops and Optiplex desktops they display the BIOS version in the top right hand corner when you actually enter the BIOS (ESC/F2/etc).

Yeah, I know. The computer I was updating wasn't a Dell, it was an Alienware...

I used to have a problem like this, and collected a couple of Dos programs that would read the BIOS string. I've changed computers since then, and can't find what i did with them, but a quick google found this; BIOS Agent which is supposed to do the same thing. I can't try it myself at the moment though, cos i'm at work.

Hope someone finds this useful...

Supposedly now with the new Bios, all I have to do is press Tab to see the startup sequence. But by the time I hit it, its already loading my Promise drivers...
