Bios question

I have the Intel 955 motherboard, with the April 30th 2005 Bios. There is a June 1st bios. I was wondering if it is safe to upgrade to that via the express bios install on the intel site? Should it create any conflicts with my hardware?

Also, I wanted to use that Intel Desktop Control Center, but when loading up, it freezes. Is this because of the bios?
