Some MB's don't use the del key to get into bios, if it's a Dell, it's probably F2.

Is it a ps/2 or usb keyboard? If it's usb, it's possible the usb port is not turned on and especially because you just reseat the bios. Solution: use a ps/2 keyboard to turn the usb ports on. They are usually off by default a lot of the time.

If it's ps/2, could be fried, try a usb keyboard.

Also possible to be a driver kinda issue in a way.

Check Master/Slave settings, if there right, then maybe CS/CS will work better (CCable Select)

cant boot from floppy because i cant get into bios to change it, PS2 should be fine cuz i was using it a few weeks ago. if jumpers are not set properly would that prevent it from booting into BIOS?
