I just built a system last night that consists of a Giga-Byte 8IHXP, 512 MB PC1066 and a P4 2.26 Northwood. When the system boots, it always tries to detect ATA 133 RAID devices. Since I don't have anything plugged into the IDE 3 and 4 (RAID controller) slots on the mobo, it eventually gets past this point. I think it says something like "no ATA 133 devices found" and finishes booting. The problem is, the rest of the boot process is VERY fast, and this one process slows it down.. If there is a way to keep the BIOS from searching for RAID devices, I could boot much faster. I looked in the BIOS and did not see anything. Any suggestions???
Thanks for the help!!!
