bios problems!!!!!

i have a luckystar 5mvp3 ce(512kb)motherboard, VIA chipset, AMD k6-2 500, ZIF Socket 7. I think my bios is bad. When i turn on the computer I get only the power supply to start up and then noyhing else, no beeps no nothing!
I have tested the power supply it's OK. The battery is good also. My bios is Award full PnP Bios, flash rom bios. Any suggestions! Can I purchase new bios? or can I download new firmware from the net, and if so HOW DO i install it when my computer doesn't read the A drive?

Try clearing the bios by pulling the battery while the computer is unplugged. Also try reseating your hardware.. CPU, Ram...
 
there's a jumper on the motherboard that u can short to reset the CMOS settings for the BIOS

what makes u think that the BIOS is bad?

those symptoms are usually caused by a dead component or improperly seated components
