Why does it take so long to load up my bios? Takes like 5-10 mins for my entire computer to bootup into windows, and once im in, its really fast.

You're a little confused. Computers don't "load the BIOS" when they start up. They read the BIOS to identify what hardware is present.

It would help a lot to know what OS you're using, as the techniques for improving start up times are different for different OSs.

But then perhaps some of your problems are related to "hosing" your PC! LOL.

Well it shouldn't take 5-10minutes to start up. Disconnect any un-essential drives and just run 1 HDD if possible, reset the CMOS and see how it goes from there.

Resetting the BIOS is covered in your owners manual. If you don't have one you can download one from the Asus website.

How many icons are there on the taskbar when the computer finally starts?

Vista comes with Microsoft?s anti-spyware program, ?Windows Defender? installed; and Defender* has a tool built into it called ?Software Explorer? which allows you select whether a program loads during the boot process (start-up). To see the list of what is currently loading, open Defender by clicking Start >Programs, and click on Windows Defender. When Defender opens, click on the ?Tools? gray gear icon. Disable any programs you don't need.
