Bios password on Thinkpad A31

I have a thinkpad 2652M4U type A31 that has a bios password set on it. Is there a way to get around this. I have tried taking out the cmos battery. Is there anything else I can do, maybe some special trick I can try or something?

TIA

Hi,

Two quick points:

1. If at all (see point 2) - I would post this on the "small form factor, notebooks, etc..." forum as the knowledge/readership there is more relevant than the "highly technical" forum.

2. Hacking/resetting laptop bios passwords is one of the questions liable to be ignored because it is commonly asked by laptop thieves (not accusing you of this!) I would contact the manufacturer for the best/easiest advice.

Good luck,

Andy
