BIOS password on a Toshiba Laptop.

Same ol familiar story...

around 2 year old laptop ... p3 .... he forgot his BIOS password ... (Doesnt use the machine much)

we are in Calcutta, India. And Toshiba outsources support here through a company called HCL Infosystems Ltd. They cant help because that model was never sold in India, so they arent equipped to handle its support 😛 This guy had bought it from US.

The machine is his and NOT stolen. U ll have to trust me on that...

I did find some BIOS hacks... thru google .. but am reluctant to use em...(not my machine)

does the take out the battery trick work on laptops too?
 
Out of the tricks i found...

One requires making up a bootable floppy using a hex editor......

Other requires doing something with the parallel port....

Any one tried either of these?

I saw the machine today... and well... its not askin for a password..
the hdd has crashed...!

y do my frnds have to be morons... 🙁
