BIOS password of Toshiba laptop

Well, I haven't kept up on laptop tech, but a quick googleing turned up this:

http://www.sysopt.com/cmospass.html

so, you might want to try the passwords listed.

also, my 486 laptop reset the cmos when I left it without laptop battery, or plugged in for awhile(overnight), but new laptops might have an extra backup battery now, or maybe the batt. was dead...

Unfortunately clearing the CMOS is not an Option on your Toshiba.

If you want to know how to reset it PM me.
(you need to enable yours also)

Do you own the laptop?

If yes... contacting toshiba might be your best bet...

Btw.. there ARE other ways.

Hopefully this will help....

But I've got a Satellite 2805-S301, so no guarentees. Anyway there appears to be two options:

1) Go to the Start menu, point to Settings, Control Panel, then double click Toshiba HW Setup. You'll find the password options there and it looks likes the same thing that's in BIOS.

2) For access to BIOS (they call it TSETUP), hold the "ESC" button down while you boot up, you'll be prompted to press the "F!" key. Do so and you get into BIOS.

Hope this helps

Found this on the net. Can't vouch for it. There's three options for Toshibas. Two are software options, one is a hardware options. Try them in the order they are presented.
