BIOS hot swap question

Alright, I have a quick question.

I have an ECS K7AMA motherboard with a hosed BIOS. Won't even seek the floppy on boot. I've researched the BIOS hot swap technique, and would like to try that. The problem is, I do not have another K7AMA board. Can I do this with what motherboard I have laying around, as long as the chip sizes match?

I know, probably a noob question, but I am looking at doing this as cheaply (read: free) as possible.

Anyway, if I can't, does anyone have an old K7AMA board to sell, or a board that'll take an 800 mhz Duron and SDRAM? (Trying to build a machine from old parts for a nine-year-old to do homework on...)
