Bios Hard drive question (non ssd)

I wanted to know if you all were going to do a fresh install of windows 7 64 would you set your drives in the bios to ahci or ide? None of the drives are ssd just a Velociraptor 300 and some 2tb ears drives.

I currently use AHCI, but have done it both ways on my system and noticed no difference of any kind. Good question, I thought perhaps that several others would chime in on this question.

AHCI is supposed to enable certain features like NCQ, power management, and hot-plugging (especially useful if any of your drives are eSATA).

Always install in AHCI mode.

If you have a problem with it just go back into the BIOS and change to IDE.
