How do u flash ur BIOS without the use of a floppy? How can I use my HD or CDRW to do this? plaese dont give me a link to bootdisk.com! Who has actually used their CDRW or HD to flash BIOS? What files do I need? Keep in my mind that I dont have a working floppy!

I believe that with some boards (Asus?) you can actually flash the BIOS from within windows. As for using other media, I've never heard of support for it, but that doesn't say much because I don't pay too much attention to that stuff.

Yeah this is for ECS k7s5a! I have overclockable BIOS right noe which is pretty sweet but it doesnt seem all that great.

Make sure your flash files are on a fat32 partition, start your computer and press F8 (I think) to get more boot options. Choose to boot to command prompt only then go from there.. Easy to do and more reliable then floppy.

I used Easy CD creator to create a bootable CD. When you run your flash program, you just replace "A:\" with the directory on your hard drive or CD that has the flash program and bios update. If you are using the NTFS file system, make sure you put everything on the CD since you won't have access to the hard drive in DOS mode.
