Bios flashing question.

I tried to upgrade the bios on my MSI K7T Pro2a last night and downloaded the latest from MSI's site and did exactly as directed but I still kept getting the error message: Source file not found, just before it attempts to flash but after it asks you if you wanted to save the current version. My floppy disc has the flash bios I downloaded and all the necessary dos files so I don't get it.

Did you extract the new BIOS' .bin file to the floppy? If it's zipped or compressed in any way the flash utility will not be able to read, or work with, the file.

The bios that I downloaded was in a .exe, I ran it and it ask me where I wanted it to be extracted to and I put it on the floppy. After it extracted all I got was a Award flash utility, a 1k text doc file, and a 256k file with name: W6330VSP.10e, I think this is the bios file I need but its not in the .bin extension.

BIOS files have the .bin extension. Also, did you enable BIOS-flashing in your BIOS? It's in the "IWILL Smart Setting" menu. PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you the 0307 BIOS .bin😉.

I just figured my problem, I was following the direction given for the Award bios which is right but is out dated or slightly different than what I needed. I went back and redo all the directions and got it to flash right now, thanks.
